Follow the steps to add the .bit file to the BOOT Image:
*Open the Create Boot Image Wizard
In Vitis, go to the top menu and select Vitis > Create Boot Image.
*Add Partitions (Including .bit File)
Select your architecture (e.g., Zynq or Zynq Ultrascale+).
Click + (Add) to add the following files in order:
datafile (.bit file): Click +, browse to your .bit file, set Partition Type to datafile, and ensure the Destination Device is set to PL.
*Generate the Image
Specify the Output BIF file path and Output path for the BOOT.BIN file.
Click Create Image
Also attached the screenshot for your reference. Add your .bit file in the File Path.
