As the connector on our G69S SBC is designed to serve as a generic platform supporting multiple OSM modules, we have adopted the ARM-JTAG 20-pin pinout as a common standard. However, since JTAG debuggers do not adhere to a universal pinout and often use different connector types, custom cabling is frequently required to interface specific debuggers with the Carrier Card.
For carrier card design, it is recommended to implement the pinout that directly matches the JTAG debugger intending to use. This approach minimizes the need for custom cables and ensures reliable and straightforward debugger connectivity.
It’s okay to use a different JTAG connector with a different signal mapping. Just make sure that the connections between the board and the JTAG debugger signals are correct.
