How the unique MAC Id is programmed in G40M i.MX8M Plus OSM SoM?

  1. Unique MAC ID: Each SOM will be programmed with unique MAC ID

  2. Programming the OTP: iWave will share the list for programmed MAC IDs to the customer along with the SOM number it is programmed to. During the mass production of the SOMs, MAC ID will be programmed to OTP. It is not erasable and re-writable. It is a one-time writable process.

  3. Reading the MAC ID: The MAC ID will be read automatically from OTP. Just make sure that no MAC ID is assigned Software wise (in env in uboot) in production code.
