The on-SOM clock synthesizer SI5341 can be either Programmed In-system(OTP) or via software.
When Programmed In-system(OTP) the clocks of the clock synthesizer will be available at power up but In-system programming of clock synthesizer can be done only once after which the clock frequency will be fixed.
Hence, it is recommended to program the clock synthesizer via software.
The clock synthesizer on SOM is pre-programmed. Re-programming using header file will cause HPS to hang as clocks are stopped during programming procedure.
Hence, for changing on SOM clock synthesizer SI5341 QDR-IV Clock output frequency at runtime refer attached procedure.
To support SOM clock synthesizer programming via software, hardware change is required resistors has to be mounted. Please connect with iWave representative for the hardware changes.
