How to verify the functionality of the USB-to-Serial connection on G33M/G33D when encountering a communication failure?

Kindly check whether the USB-to-Serial converter works properly when connected to a host PC. Also, please try connecting it to a different USB port on the iWave development kit using the iWave-provided binaries and verify whether the issue persists.
