Q1: Why LoRa node insertion in the database does not work if lora-server.service is stopped?
A1: This is an expected behavior because, the lora-server.service manages the device database and handles the LoRaWAN activation process when a new node tries to join the network (OTAA or ABP), the lora-server must process the join request, validate credentials, and create the device entry. If the server is stopped, the join requests cannot be processed, so nodes cannot be added to the database.
Q2: To receive LoRa node messages in Node-RED, we need to stop lora-server.service?
A2: Node-RED receives data from the Network Server, stopping the Network Server should prevent data from reaching Node-RED.
Q3: Why does log file (lora-nws.log) does not get updated in some cases?
A3: Possible causes are , if the lora-server.service is stopped or crashed, logs won’t update, kindly check the lora-server service status.
