How to Troubleshoot PCIe Device Detection Issues for G57M?

The issue may be the kernel image is being loaded from a different boot device that does not contain the Root Port configuration.

To investigate this issue further, please follow the procedure below:.

  1. Download the binaries from the FTP link (provided by iWave) and copy them to the microSD card.

  2. Set the boot mode switch (SW4) to microSD boot, as described in Software User Manual, Section “Versal Boot Mode Switch”. Boot the board and stop at the U-Boot.

  3. At the U-Boot, execute the following commands:

        IWG57M> env def -a -f

    IWG57M> setenv sdbootdev '1'

    IWG57M> setenv modeboot 'sdboot'

    IWG57M> saveenv

    IWG57M> boot

    Once the kernel has loaded, execute the following command to check PCIe device detection:

    root@versal-iwg57m:~# lspci
