What is the Power Requirements for PCIe Endpoint Mode using G35M SOM?

When utilizing a PCIe FMC module in Endpoint (EP) mode, the 12V and 3.3V power rails must be derived from the external Host PC to ensure correct power sequencing.

Supplying power to the FMC module from the development board the external host PC will get damaged. Consequently, ensure that VCC_12V, VCC_3V3 and VADJ are not provided via the FMC connector.

iG-G35M ZU19/17/11 DevKit Implementation:

In iWave ZU19/17/11 DevKit, we have followed FMC specification and made FMC connector 12V, 3.3V and VADJ power rails in ‘OFF’ state by default. This is enabled through software command to support root port.

For the specific software commands required to toggle these power rails or to verify the current power status of the FMC slot, please refer to the ‘Power Management’ section of the Software User Guide."
