Hardware Limitation: Please note that hardware-based write protection (via physical pins or switches) is not supported for onboard eMMC. Write protection must be implemented via software.
- temp option - enables the write protection until next format with power cycle condition.
- pwron option - enables the write protection only for current power cycle.
- perm option - enables the permanent write protection and not irreversible.
In SOM, 8GB eMMC “SDINBDG4-8G-XI1” from SanDisk part is used and please refer section “Enhanced Write Protection” in datasheet for more details.
